Fairfield Technologies is a member of the Raytheon team supporting the Advanced Weather Interactive Processing System (AWIPS) for the National Weather Service. Fairfield Technologies Inc. contributed to the overall achievement of the ISO 20000 registration of the AWIPS program in September 2008 and again in 2011, one of only 40 programs in the U.S. to be ISO 20000 certified. Specifically, the registration applies to the program and its team members under the following scope:

The Raytheon Information Solutions� AWIPS Team IT Service Management System that support the provision of Program Management, Service Desk, Network Management, Software Maintenance and Support, and Evolution to the Advanced Weather Interactive Processing System (AWIPS) of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration�s (NOAA) National Weather Service (NWS).

The achievement of ISO 20000 registration is a function of the AWIPS program�s concept of operations modeled closely on ITIL definitions and compliant methods. FTI brings these same ITIL-based, ISO 20000-certified skills to all of our technical projects and customers.
